Mail-In MSD80 DME Repair Service

This is a professional mail-in service.

To begin, you must remove your MSD80 DME from your vehicle and mail it to us.

Error codes 30BA and 30BB are notorious issues with the MSD80 DME. Our repair service resolves these issues using upgraded MOSFET transistors, significantly reducing the likelihood of recurrence.

As part of the service, we replace all six MOSFETs with our advanced versions.

No programming is required, and the repair addresses the following error codes:

• 30BA: DME Digital Motor Electronics, Internal Failure
• 30BB: DME Digital Motor Electronics, Internal Failure
• 29D0: Cylinder 4 Misfire
• 29D1: Cylinder 5 Misfire
• 29D2: Cylinder 6 Misfire

Important Notes:

• This service does not address misfires caused by issues unrelated to the MOSFETs.
• No other problems with the DME are repaired as part of this service. The repair is limited to replacing the MOSFETs.

If our tests determine that your MOSFETs are functioning properly and do not require replacement, we will notify you. In such cases, you may decide how to proceed. Should you choose not to replace the MOSFETs, a $50 inspection fee will be charged, and the remainder of the service fee will be refunded.
